Applicants may commence the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice only after:
- they have successfully completed an approved degree with Flinders University, which fulfils the academic requirements for admission in South Australia as set out in the Rules of the Legal Practitioners Education and Admission Council 2018 (normally, Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Laws (Honours), including where part of an associated combined degree)
OR
- they have successfully completed all core Law topics that will lead to the completion and award of an approved degree with Flinders University, which fulfils the academic requirements for admission in South Australia as set out in the Rules of the Legal Practitioners Education and Admission Council 2018 (normally, Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Laws (Honours), including where part of an associated combined degree); and
- they have no more than 9 units remaining to complete that approved Bachelor degree; and
- they are enrolled in those 9 units while they are undertaking their Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice studies.
The University will confirm the eligibility of students who have not yet completed their Bachelor of Laws degree.
NOTE:
1. A student permitted to enrol concurrently in the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and the final period of study of an undergraduate degree (normally, Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Laws (Honours), including where part of an associated combined degree) will not be awarded the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice until the undergraduate degree is completed.
