Overview
This topic focuses on the integration and application of skills, knowledge, and professional responsibilities across the full scope of midwifery practice. Students will have the opportunity to strengthen their ability to work collaboratively while maintaining a woman-centred focus.
Aims
The aim of this topic is to:
- Provide students with an opportunity to enhance their clinical midwifery skills and knowledge across the full scope of midwifery practice while expanding their ability to apply critical thinking and reasoning
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate a highly developed critical and reflective approach to the provision of clinical midwifery care
2.
Identify theoretical, clinical and digital health learning needs to enhance skills and knowledge essential to the provision of safe, high-quality, woman-centred midwifery care
3.
Examine and critically evaluate the professional, legal, and ethical issues pertinent to the provision of evidence-based, woman-centred midwifery care
4.
Demonstrate personal and professional accountability in midwifery practice
5.
Demonstrate a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to the provision of maternity care that acknowledges professional scopes of practice and clinical expertise
