This topic will provide students who are transitioning to the new 4.5 unit course structures with an academically appropriate study option in Computing that will allow them to complete the degree with the required number of units. The nature of the studies undertaken will be considered on the basis of students' needs in terms of completing the requirements for a course/major sequence/specialisation and could include one or more of the following (this is not an exhaustive list): an additional tailored complementary/extension component to a topic that has been undertaken by a student; a component of a topic where, as a result of the restructure, that topic in its entirety would not normally be available to a transitioning student due to significant overlap of content with previously completed studies; or independent or supervised study leading to the submission of a piece of assessable work (e.g. an essay, poster, literature review or report).
