Aims
This topic aims to:
- Provide students with an advanced understanding of the causes (and associated preventative measures) of a range of aquatic animal diseases and the principles and techniques of disease diagnosis, management and treatment in fish, mollusc and crustacean species
- Provide students with an advanced understanding of how product quality is affected and how it can be manipulated
- Foster high level skills in laboratory practicals, writing reports and ability to critically analyse aquaculture literature
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate advanced skills in necroscopy procedures and the sampling procedures required for working with aquatic animals
2.
Demonstrate a high level ability to apply knowledge for the manipulation of product quality
