Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Develop students’ understanding of the dynamics of space in performance, and how those dynamics may be incorporated into the creative process of conceiving and delivering a production

  • Equip students with the skills to shape and control meaning in non-determinative live and virtual spaces including in-the-round/installation/virtual reality

  • Enhance students’ awareness of both the innate spatial dynamics of various architectural forms of real and virtual performance spaces, and the capacity of the creative team to instigate spatial dynamics through design and the interaction of the performers’ bodies
