Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Introduce students to contemporary guidelines for working with young children with disability or developmental differences
  • Explore current research and evidence-based practice relating to supporting the development of children with disability or developmental differences
  • Apply contemporary frameworks to the development of goals and selection of supports for young children with disability or developmental differences

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Effectively organise and critically evaluate the practice implications of key recommendations for supporting the early development of children with disability
