Aims
This topic aims to:
- Provide students with an opportunity to explore in depth an area of interest within the field of education that could not be undertaken within the framework of an existing coursework topic
- Enable students to work independently to gain greater insights into their field of interest
- Facilitate in depth knowledge of the literature in their chosen area of education and to analyse and evaluate the literature in order to show its strengths and limitations
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate knowledge of the theory and research relevant to your area of focus that is consistent with post graduate standards
2.
Analyse and evaluate literature in order to show its strengths and limitations
3.
Demonstrate a capacity for independent self-directed learning
