Aims

This topic aims to equip the students with the skills needed to solve mathematical problems with several variables, linear systems, and differential equations. These provide the mathematical pre-requisites that the student needs for the second and higher year Engineering topics. The focus is on the application of the mathematical ideas to Engineering problems.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Understand and be able to apply multivariable calculus to engineering problems
2.
Understand and be able to apply differential equations to engineering problems
3.
Understand statistics and be able to apply it to solve problems
