Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Expand and consolidate students' knowledge of French grammatical structures and vocabulary acquired at previous levels
  • Develop further students' communicative competence through participation in activities involving group or pair interaction

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Critically interpret authentic written and spoken texts in French from a wider range of registers and text types
2.
Use articulated French to communicate autonomously and with moderate proficiency in speech and in writing, in an extended range of registers and situations
3.
Produce a further range of nuanced grammatical and lexical elements in French
4.
Appraise and critique specific aspects of French culture, with an emphasis on social, historical and technological contexts
