Aims

This topic aims for the students to:

  • Be introduced to the knowledge, skills and understanding underpinning sport coaching, management and administration
  • Apply the acquired knowledge, skills and understanding in coaching and practice settings
  • Be introduced to tools that assist the management and administration of a sport event
  • Explain key concepts in the management and administration of sport
  • Complete the Australian Sports Commission General Principles of Coaching Course

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate knowledge underpinning sport coaching, management and administration
2.
Apply sport coaching, management and administration knowledge and understanding in an applied practical setting
3.
Apply an understanding of sport coaching, management and administration to the design of a yearly training and management plan for a sport
