Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Provide intermediate students with greater confidence in using the Indonesian language
  • Provide opportunities to build vocabulary through interactive reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities
  • Expose students to texts about the culture of contemporary Indonesian society

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Construe a breadth of meanings from formal written texts and spoken passages in Indonesian, of different genres and text types
2.
Use moderately complex Indonesian to communicate independently and efficiently in speech and in writing, in an extended range of text types and for different purposes
3.
Interpret and produce an extended range of complex grammatical and syntactical structures and vocabulary in Indonesian
4.
Integrate specific features of Indonesian culture, as they are expressed through language: arts, literature, etc.
