Aims
This topic aims to:
- Consolidate and expand students' knowledge of Modern Greek grammatical structures, syntax and vocabulary acquired at previous levels
- Assist students to analyse and understand different text types and to produce complex written and spoken texts
- Develop further students' communicative competence through participation in activities involving group or pair interaction
- Develop both aural and oral skills through a variety of activities
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Construe a breadth of meanings from formal written texts and spoken passages in Modern Greek, of different genres and text types
2.
Use moderately complex Modern Greek to communicate independently and efficiently in speech and in writing, in an extended range of text types and for different purposes
3.
Interpret and produce an extended range of complex grammatical and syntactical structures and vocabulary in Modern Greek
4.
Integrate specific features of Greek culture, as they are expressed through language: arts, literature, etc.
