Aims
This topic aims to offer students a broad understanding of counselling considerations in application to child, youth, adult, and older populations. Students will gain knowledge and skills in critical thinking, referring to developmental theory and emerging evidence for application in counselling approaches and interventions.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate a broad understanding of counselling practice across the lifespan

Analyse contemporary understandings of development across the lifespan and impacts on individual wellbeing

Critically review and discuss issues related to the social and cultural influences on development across the lifespan
