NURS8732 Diabetes Professional Practice

Overview

The content of this topic covers diabetes professional practice including the principles of delivering safe, effective and efficient diabetes services that support best practice diabetes self-management. The topic includes a one week Professional Experience Placement which provides the opportunity for students to apply knowledge and improve skills and attributes within the context of their own scope of practice. Students will be encouraged to reflect on how the principles of person-centred care, self-management and elements of interdisciplinary collaborative care can be incorporated into their diabetes clinical practice.
