Aims

This topic will introduce occupational science and its relation to occupational therapy. Students will study humans as occupational beings and examine the relationship between occupation, culture, health and well-being, and occupational justice.

Learning outcomes

Analyse how context and environment affect occupational engagement and performance

Determine how occupational justice influences occupational engagement for individuals and populations

Discuss the role and impact of occupation in human development

Examine the unique perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' experiences of health, wellbeing and occupation, encompassing cultural connections
