Aims
This topic aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide evidence-based, patient-centred care to patients suffering a range of medical conditions, at a foundational paramedic level. Concepts of thorough and systematic patient assessment, and best-practice treatment and management techniques will be covered, and practically demonstrated. Students will also be introduced to a range of paramedic medications and the quality use of them, as well as the specific medical conditions that affect special population groups, such as paediatric patients.
