Aims

This topic aims to develop the student's ability to conduct a holistic patient assessment, develop an understanding of particular significant patient historical and clinical signs and symptoms.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Communicate features of potential bias associated with patient and demographics, and factors which may influence judgement and or reasoning
2.
Evaluate holistic patient features through the use of evidence-based approaches for patient assessment
3.
Analyse the patient centered contexts of paramedic assessment practices and culturally safe practice requirements
4.
Investigate the significance of signs, symptoms and features of patient presentations in relation to potential underlying disease
5.
Communicate care and patient assessment findings through professional verbal and documentation formats
