Aims
This topic aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop skills in qualitative research and to understand and apply the theoretical and methodological foundations of qualitative approaches to health services research.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Develop skills in undertaking qualitative research
2.
Demonstrate awareness of the kinds of questions and issues best addressed by qualitative methods
3.
Critique examples of qualitative research in terms of such issues as ethics, credibility and rigour
4.
Analyse, interpret and report qualitative data
5.
Understand the role of qualitative research methods in health research
