Aims
The capstone practicum will provide students with an invaluable, hands on, Industry focused experience in Public Health.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Critically reflect and evaluate information and evidence to create recommendations for research and/or project development
2.
Apply project management, negotiation, and problem solving skills to the design/ implementation/ evaluation of programs or projects
3.
Critically evaluate and prioritize competing demands, appropriately adapting to change and employ time management skills to complete tasks by deadlines
4.
Formulate and implement strategic negotiation and communication skills in written, visual and oral formats with public health placement partners, stakeholders, and colleagues
5.
Apply public health theory and frameworks, inclusive of industry policies, and guidelines to project implementation and/or evaluation
6.
Critically reflect on public health practice to support health equity, personal and professional growth and awareness
