Aims
This topic aims to:
- Provide a detailed knowledge of an individual filmmaker within the commercial/industrial and social contexts which inform them
- Introduce students to the critical and theoretical concepts used to analyse the work of an individual producer of screen-based media
- Develop students' analytical skills and their capacity to research and apply their understanding to a range of practices in independent research or the production of screen media
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Evaluate and employ a critical and theoretical terminology used to analyse both individual works and the commercial/industrial contexts in which they are made
2.
Employ an understanding of screen history and aesthetics in creative practices
3.
Undertake supervised research and present an argument
