Aims
This topic aims to build students' understanding, knowledge and skills in social work theories and the application of theory to practice, in preparation for their first Field Education placement. Students will be able to select and apply appropriate theoretical knowledge in working with various client systems, i.e. individuals, families, small groups and communities. Students will develop a framework for understanding theories, which will be utilised for reflection and analysis, to form a beginning understanding about their own professional practice.
