Aims

Students will develop and synthesise trauma informed knowledge and essential applied skills to implement practice solutions with individuals, families and organisations experiencing trauma. Students will develop critical thinking and reflective skills required to be trauma responsive in situations and contexts of complexity whilst also recognising and supporting resilience.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Synthesise trauma informed knowledge, contemporary theories, and guiding principles to inform a framework for practice
2.
Apply trauma informed approaches and responses to organisational settings and individuals that involve contexts of complexity
3.
Demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability by engaging in critical reflexivity and self-awareness to create ethical and accountable trauma informed responses
