Aims
This topic aims to:
- Further develop students' knowledge for effective event design
- Provide students with an understanding of strategic event planning and management
- Introduce students to and enable them to analyse destination and strategic perspectives of event operation
- Provide students with an opportunity to experience the complete event process, from initiation to evaluation
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Apply effective event design and management theory to real-world and hypothetical case examples
2.
Analyse the internal and external environmental factors that influence festivals and events
3.
Develop and plan a consistent event concept, from initiation and development of objectives through to evaluation
4.
Evaluate the outcomes of festivals and events
