Aims
This topic aims to:
- Provide students with research and development skills, foundational to producing a body of work for exhibition
- Develop students' skills in researching, critically analysing, and evaluating their creative works at the developmental stage
- Allow students develop their creative work to a standard suitable for exhibition
- Reflect on peer and lecturer feedback in developing their creative practice
- Allow students to produce a body of their work
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Critically evaluate art work produced, as described by their proposal, in a formal manner; writing; PowerPoint; artist talk
2.
Critically analyse and evaluate others and own artworks by engaging in critical discussion with their peers using terms and concepts understood from historical and contemporary art practice
3.
Maintain a reflective journal - showing an advanced level of proficiency in exercises, notes and sketches, research and development of personal and technical ideas
4.
Produce and present a highly professional portfolio of work suitable for exhibition with critical self-evaluation
5.
Produce a written proposal, and successfully negotiate with panel of studio lecturers, to develop a body of work
