Aims

This topic aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of advanced GIS methodologies for editing and management spatial information in a desktop and online environment

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Demonstrate an advanced ability to create, edit and manage spatial information in a desktop and online environment
2.
Demonstrate an advanced ability to create, edit and build topologically correct spatial information in an enterprise spatial information system using versioning and publishing to portal sites
3.
Author and publish mapping services for delivery in an on-line environment
4.
Build map centric sites in a cloud environment
5.
Demonstrate advanced skills for visualising spatial information in 2D and 3D environments
6.
Present and critically analyse spatial information for a professional audience
