Aims
This topic aims to develop your knowledge of pain and injury of the musculoskeletal system, within a biopsychosocial model. You will develop communication and education skills tailored for both clients and health professionals.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Explain the neurophysiology of pain and its relationship with function

Apply the biopsychosocial model to the assessment and management of pain and return to function and participation

Explain acute and chronic tissue injury and healing processes of the musculoskeletal system

Apply contemporary assessment and management principles of musculoskeletal injury to clients across the lifespan
5.
Provide professional, person-centred, culturally responsive and evidence-based educational interventions tailored for both clients and health professionals
