- The ability to evaluate, discuss and demonstrate the function, design and implementation issues surrounding these environments
- An opportunity to design, construct and validate a functional game
- An appreciation for the ethical and professional issues surrounding the use of games
- Tools to develop and evaluate human-computer interaction features of such technology
