Aims
This topic aims to:
- Develop engineering skills in relation to digital game projects
- Investigate the diversity of users, platforms, technologies and mechanics that define digital game experiences
- Critique existing digital game experiences across various scenarios from Indie and AAA, to games for purpose
- Provide appreciation for the ethical and professional issues surrounding the production, publication, distribution and use of digital games

Assumed knowledge
Intermediate level programming, preferably in C#, C++, or Java such as can be obtained in COMP2711 Computer Programming 2. Some experience using 2D or 3D computer graphics APIs such as can be obtained in COMP3751 Interactive Computer Systems or COMP3752 Computer Game Development.
