Aims

This topic aims to provide students with an opportunity to explore and learn about:

  • Fundamentals of service design
  • Innovative and practical approaches to program evaluation
  • Needs assessment and policy analysis
  • Challenges related to designing, conducting and using evaluation as a means of enhancing the quality of life of people with disability

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Appraise and review a range of evaluation methodologies for human services contexts

Examine ethical and procedural issues involved in designing, conducting, analysing and using evaluations

Determine appropriate evaluation methodologies to respond to an evaluation's purpose and priorities
