Aims

This topic aims to provide opportunities for students to develop foundational gender analysis skills and model professional competencies through the application of selected approaches and tools to policy, planning and budget related case studies from Australia and other countries across the globe.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Appraise the historical context that underpins key gender analysis frameworks
2.
Assess key concepts, frameworks, approaches and tools available to practitioners to undertake gender analysis
3.
Recommend gender analysis approaches and tools for application in particular contexts and circumstances
4.
Critique selected gender analysis tools by applying foundational skills to case studies and modelling professional competencies
