Aims
This topic aims to provide students with a foundation for understanding and applying leadership and management theory and to equip students with a range of leadership and management skills and basic study approaches.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Evaluate and apply current concepts in leadership and management theory as they relate to Health and Aged Care services
2.
Analyse your own leadership and management style to formulate an approach to future leadership development
3.
Evaluate teams management approaches and challenges associated with multidisciplinary teams, group dynamics, team cohesion, and communications
4.
Develop a systematic approach to people management, including staff performance, recruitment and retention
5.
Critically evaluate current discourses on diversity and inclusive work cultures and practices
