Aims
This topic aims to provide students with the opportunity to:
- Work in a health, community or research setting over an extended period of time in order to experience the planning, organisation and implementation of health or community-based practices, or research processes
- Observe the functioning of health care or community-based organisations and the provision of care to individuals and populations or health research process and application
- Observe the theory learned through past Health Sciences topics played out in practice
- Observe and collaborate with a range of health professionals or researchers
- Develop professional identity and work ready skills
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Apply health care theories to the provision of health care and health care programs for a range of individuals and population groups

Review the functioning of healthcare organisations and the application of policy in the provision of care to individuals and populations
