Aims
The aim of this topic is to:
- Introduce students to the principles of communication in nursing
- Develop foundation skills in interpersonal and interprofessional communication
- Highlight the importance of empathy, respect, cultural safety, and ethical considerations in interpersonal and interprofessional communication required of the nurse
- Provide opportunities for students to learn and develop reflective practice
Learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

Apply interpersonal and interprofessional communication for nurses using different communication techniques and tools

Evaluate own learning and performance using reflective processes
3.
Demonstrate appropriate communication strategies for individual and team problem solving
