Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Expand students understanding of the working of the 3D and Visual Effects industry, and expose them to a broad range of 3D media concepts
  • Develop students’ understanding of the technical and creative aspects of 3D work, by developing their skills in an area of previous 3D media study, or exposing them to a new field of 3D production

Learning outcomes

On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
1.
Demonstrate familiarity with the principal concepts of modelling for 3D games, animation and visual effects, either collectively or separately, as it applies to industry standards
2.
Demonstrate the use of a basic vocabulary relevant to understanding and practice in modelling for 3D games, animation and visual effects
3.
Demonstrate the ability to analyse a range of modelling for 3D games, animation and visual effects concepts and applications
