Aims

This topic aims to:

  • Examine the interrelationship of social discourse, historical, legislative and human rights frameworks and the connection these have to the experience of disability and evolution of service provision
  • Introduce and critically discuss theoretical concepts, definitions, perspectives and representation of diversity
  • Encourage critical self-reflection on values, assumptions and biases and how this influences professional interactions and practice
