Aims
The English minor aims to:
- Equip students with a grounding in the content and concerns of literature and writing practice throughout the epochs
- Furnish students with the skills required to apply their learning in educational and professional settings
- Produce graduates who are able to communicate effectively in a range of mediums, and who are able to analyse critically different texts in a range of situations and contexts
Learning outcomes
On completion students will be able to:

Assess the tone, content, ideas, and context of a range of texts
2.
Argue complex, logical propositions effectively both orally in writing
3.
Evaluate a range of factors in developing an interpretation of literary texts
