Aims
This course aims to
- Prepare graduates with evidence-based knowledge of health behaviours that improve physical and mental health outcomes for individuals and communities
- Provide opportunities for both emerging and existing professionals to learn skills and applications that support health and wellbeing
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course you will be able to:
1.
Analyse the evidence that informs practice and explains the interaction between mind, body and environment in the health and wellbeing of individuals
2.
Demonstrate the relationships between behaviours and physical and mental health, and the factors influencing health behaviours through application of theory to practice (knowledge translation)
3.
Integrate self-management, counselling and person-centric care to promote and support self-efficacy and increase health literacy
