Aims
This course encapsulates a critical and contemporary understanding of inclusion in education. Topics provide knowledge and skills to better understand diverse students, their learning needs, and how to modify curriculum, environments, and social interactions to better support them. Theories, principles, and strategies to effectively differentiate for diversity are explored. Whole school behavioural approaches and classroom ecologies are explored to better understand relationships between individuals, communities of learners, environments, and instruction.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course you will be able to:

Justify a critical understanding of inclusion, informed by current research, legislation, and international treaties
2.
Synthesise knowledge of inclusive education practices to be applied in diverse contexts
3.
Analyse and apply key philosophies, principles and practices of inclusive education to meet diverse student needs
4.
Investigate own practices and identify opportunities to apply inclusive approaches to enhance quality of learning and engagement for all student
