Aims
The Graduate Certificate in Wellbeing and Positive Mental Health in Education aims to:
- Provide candidates with opportunities to critically examine recent literature, engage in debate and reflection within the area of wellbeing and positive mental health in educational contexts
- Provide students with the opportunity to expand and apply in–depth knowledge in the area of wellbeing and positive mental health in educational contexts
- Develop students’ knowledge and skills to examine current educational issues related to wellbeing and positive mental health
- Enable graduates to evaluate policies and practices related to the promotion of wellbeing and positive mental health
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course you will be able to:

Critically reflect on, evaluate and synthesise knowledge gained from reading, discussion and writing to demonstrate an advanced understanding of educational research, policies and practices within the field of wellbeing and positive mental health in educational contexts
2.
Critique current theory and research in wellbeing and positive mental health educational policies and practices
3.
Integrate cognitive skills, reflective awareness and creativity to facilitate the application evidence-based knowledge for the promotion of wellbeing and positive mental health in educational contexts
4.
Contribute to the informed construction of educational policy from a knowledge based perspective
