Aims

This course aims to provide an expanded understanding of end-of-life care across health and community sectors that will enable students to confidently apply knowledge and skills to palliative and end-of-life care.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the course you will be able to:
1.
Synthesise evidence to inform implementation of quality care
2.
Demonstrate extended skills in critical self-reflection that have application to your discipline and interdisciplinary clinical practice
3.
Critically appraise approaches to the management of common palliative and end-of-life practice contexts that considers the needs of the individual, families and carers

Student progression rules

Failure to complete the course full-time within two consecutive semesters or part-time within six consecutive semesters, may constitute prima facie evidence of unsatisfactory progress for the purposes of the University's Policy on Student Progress. Where credit has been granted a lesser period to complete the course may be set by the Dean (Education).

The award of a grade of Fail (F) in 18 units or more, or the award of a grade of Fail (F) in the same topic on more than one occasion, may constitute prima facie evidence of unsatisfactory progress for the purposes of the University's Policy on Student Progress.
