Aims
The course specialisation aims to:
- Develop the creativity, strategic thinking, business capability and practical skills required for success in the creative and cultural industries sector and specifically in the design and development of festivals and arts events
- Promote the ability to work adaptively with new media and disruptive technologies in a fast-changing technologically driven industry environment
- Provide experience in working collaboratively, as part of an interdisciplinary creative team
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course you will be able to:

Apply theories of creative production and cultural value to analyse festivals and arts events
2.
Critically assess festivals and arts events in terms of their feasibility, sustainability and cultural and societal outcomes
3.
Develop and deliver creative industries projects and events while working independently and collaboratively
4.
Determine a range of partnership opportunities and funding sources for creative industries projects and events
5.
Interpret and critically evaluate contemporary policy for the creative arts and industries
6.
Combine skills in creative development, project management and marketing and apply them to deliver festivals and arts events
